Emmie Jane Jones Wilson, 71, of Sheridan, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at her home.

She was born December 4, 1944 in Holly Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of the late George and Pauline Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roger Wilson, Sr. of 45 years, 5 sisters, Mary Arnold, Marie Wallace, Rosie Lee Strom, Hester Brown and Paulette Jones; 4 brothers, Bill Jones, Red Jones, Jessie Jones, and Buddy Jones, and a grandson, Charles White IV.

Emmie enjoyed everyday life. She loved fishing, camping, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She became a hard worker in her early years, picking cotton and becoming a roofer in her later years. She was the hardest working woman her family knew. She was of the Christian faith and a believer in Jesus Christ having attended New Life Fellowship Church in Sheridan.

Emmie is survived by one son, Roger Wilson, Jr., of Sheridan; three daughters, Toni Wilson of Hempstead County, Dana Derrick and husband Michael of Sheridan, Angela Heird and husband James of East End; 3 sisters, Dorthy Dillard of Sheridan, Helen Sue White of Sheridan and Thelma Jean Jones of California; 1 brother, Billy Joe Jones of Sheridan; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, February 5, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Cypert officiating. Burial will follow at Center Campground Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until service time.

Pallbearers are Joey Wilson, Donavin Reynolds, Jade Heird, Jake Heird, John Bates and Carson Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers are Nehemiah, Travis and Eli.
