Essie McMillan Cash Shepherd of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 7, 1917 in Sheridan the daughter of the late Thomas Alva and Rentha Leora Grubbs McMillan. She was a member of North Main Baptist Church in Sheridan.

Mrs. Shepherd died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab Center at the age of 94.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Shepherd; son, Jimmy Cash; brother, Glen McMillan and two sisters, Erchie Dunivan and Coy Newton Harris.

Survivors: Daughter, Billie Lou Cash Drain and husband Michael Drain of Universal City, Texas;
Step-son, Robert Shepherd and wife Delora Jean of Sheridan;
Sister, Frances Thomas of Winston-Salem, NC:
5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren;

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 5, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday.
