Faye Anderson Shambley of Sheridan, Arkansas, was born September 8, 1933 at Murfreesboro, Arkansas , the daughter of the late Marlin Anderson and Lydia Pearl Cox Anderson Jeffries. She lived a very active life to say the least, and was involved in various business ventures, and was of the Baptist faith. She loved lake life and fishing for many years. Even when she could no longer get out much, she still stayed busy playing games on her Ipad, and playing cards. Phase 10 was one of her current favorites. Her greatest joy was making memories with her family.

Mrs. Shambley died Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, at the age of 92. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O.D. Shambley; step-dad, Tony Jeffries, who raised her from a young age, due her dad’s death; she was also preceded in death by her brother, Marlin Anderson, Jr.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Bobby Poole of Hillsborough, Oregon, and Cindy and Phil Wilson of Sheridan; grandchildren, Robert (Karyna) Poole, Heather (Brandon) Arbuckle, Melissa (Jason) Baca, Jonathon (Ashley) Grantham; great grandchildren, Carson, Draven, Jayden, Skyla, Molly, and Grant.

A graveside memorial service at Sparkman Cemetery, Sparkman, Arkansas will be announced soon.

Memorials may be made to the charity or organization of the donor’s choice.

The family would also like to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and all the nurses and CNA's that took such good care of her.
