Fern Russell Workman of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 3, 1917 in Hickory Grove, Arkansas the daughter of the late Harve and Edna Dodd Russell. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Sheridan and was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Workman died Monday, February 7, 2005 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 87.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Workman, Sr. whom she married September 19, 1937 and her son Wiley Workman, Jr.

Survivors: Daughters, Judy Hocutt and husband Sam; and Neoma Hutson all of Hot Springs

Grandchildren: David and Buffy Workman, Chris Workman, Melinda and Bill Evans, Tommy Shultz, Karen Steelman.

Great grandchildren: Jason Shultz; Carson, Dylan and Jack Evans; Chord and Tyler Workman; Alicia and Laura Workman.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Hull and Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Star City. Visitation: 5-7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 357, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150. Pallbearers: Jim Allen, Brent Reichenbach, Boyd Reichenbach, Carlton Cummings, Jim Lancaster, Russell Baxter, Mark Alexander and Tom Waller. Honorary Pallbearers: Howard Freeman and the Methodist Men's Bible Class.
