Floyd Manly Nelson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 12,1928 in Sheridan, the son of the late Jesse Rice and Priscilla Thompson Nelson. He was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church and had retired from the State Highway Department.

Mr. Nelson died October 1, 2006 at Great Rivers Medical Center in Blytheville, Arkansas at the age of 78.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Lee Williams Nelson, a son Larry Eugene Nelson and a brothers, Josh Nelson, Lewis Nelson and Beecher Nelson.

Brothers, Bobby Nelson, Harvey Nelson, Franklin Nelson all of Sheridan;

8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren


Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 10:00 A.M at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Franklin Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Center Grove Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation:6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brian Johnson, Johnny Stone, Jimmy Earl Brown, Robert Strom, Raymond Camp and David Nelson.
