"Paw" Ray
April 26, 1946 – December 21, 2018
Floyd Junior "Paw" Ray of Sheridan was born April 26, 1946 in Grapevine, Arkansas, the son of the late John Floyd and Onie Seymore Ray. He was a machinist at Centria for over 13 years and a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Floyd never met a stranger, enjoyed collecting cans, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Floyd died Friday, December 21, 2018 at his home at the age of 72.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Ray and Le'coy Ray; sisters, Freddia Ball and Geneva Ray Massey; one grandson, Kyle Ray and one great grandson, Ross Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patsy Ray; daughters, Dianna Hubbard of Sheridan, Vickey Shellnut of Sardis, Sherry (Gary) Heath of Sheridan; son, David Ray of Sheridan; brother, Elvis Ray of Oregon; grandchildren, Zachary Shellnut, Cody Ray, Hunter Ray, Braxton Ray, Morgan Ray, Meagan Duncan, Kama Howard, Stephanie Bushart, and Morgan Heath; and great grandchildren, Aleyah Bushart, Bentley Wilson, Audrey Bushart, Haven Wilson, and Payton Wilson.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery just north of Sheridan. Visitation will be the Friday before at 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Shellnut, Cody Ray, Woody Jackson, Matt Robinowi, Hunter Ray, Braxton Ray, Bentley Wilson, and Derek Nollen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Shellnut, Carl Howard, and Gary Heath.
