Floyd Stanley "Stan" Smith of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 2, 1944 at Pine Bluff the son of Mary Murdock Smith Clements and the late Oscar Smith. Mr. Smith was a Baptist, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a Federal Inspector for the Cotton Belt Railroad, was with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department for 8 Years and served for 20 years with the Grant County Sheriff's Department where he will remembered as "Grant 15". He love antique cars and trucks and music. He was a loving Husband, Dad, and Papaw. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Stan Smith and a brother, Richard Smith.
Mr. Smith died Monday, January 12, 2004 at the St.Vincents Infirmary Medical Center at the age of 59.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 15, 2004 at the Shady Grove Cemetery (Grant/Cleveland County line). Visitation: Wednesday, 5-8 P.M. at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan. Arrangements by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan (870) 942-1306.
