Frank Louis Skorcz, of Sheridan, Arkansas was born in Sheridan on November 30, 1933, the son of the late Michael Louis and Dorothy Ann Jones Skorcz. He died at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on December 21, 2006 at the age of 73 years.
He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Sheridan and the church hall was named "Skorcz Hall" after his ancestors. He was also a member of the American Legion; the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was loved by his family. He was a Veteran of the Army, having served during the Korean Conflict , and was retired Fire Chief for St. Louis, Missouri.
Survivors are his wife of 36 years, Evelyn Parker Skorcz of the home;
Three Sons; Steve Skorcz of Rock Springs, Wyoming;
Brent Skorcz of Green River, Wyoming;
Frank M. Skorcz of Arkansas;
Two Daughters; Sandy Skorcz of Wyoming;
Tammy Skorcz of Sheridan;
Sisters: Margaret Noble, Connie Benning, Barbara Boyce and Kathy Brown, all of Wyoming;
6 grandchildren, Steve Jr., Jennifer, Kaiya, Faith, Kayla and Kelsey;
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Walton officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery at Sheridan. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Snyder, Mike Brewer, Ed Rodgers, Harold Skorcz, Charles Skorcz, David Chance and Leo Skorcz. Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Fowler.
