Obituary
Freddy Guy Sullivant of Prattsville, Arkansas was born July 4, 1952 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the son of the late Cecil Lawrence and Rosalie Gregory Sullivant.
Freddy graduated from Prattsville High School in 1970. His basketball team went to the State Championship and he was president of his senior class. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and basketball. He loved dogs and enjoyed deer hunting with walker hounds that he trained. Over the years as a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, he taught classes, served as clerk and had a resonant bass when he sang. This he seldom did but unto the Lord.
Freddy was a cattleman and the hardest worker you're likely to ever meet. He could fix most anything you could break. His greatest love in this life was for his wife Bonnie, his family and running the farm. To try to put into words a summary of a man so quiet but so willing to converse, so strong yet soft hearted, so serious but who loved to laugh is beyond my pen. Suffice to say he was Mr. Freddy, he was Dad, he was Pa, he was one of kind. Those who knew him know all of this and more. To say he will be missed will not do. His departure leaves an abyss, not a hole.
Blessed be the day when our Lord Jesus returns and gathers all His Saints to one place and we know no more the pains of parting.
Freddy died Monday, January 4, 2016 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 63.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Sullivant.
Survivors: wife, Bonnie Pool Sullivant of Prattsville; sons, Richard and wife Leslie Sullivant of Leola; Rodger Sullivant and Cecil Sullivant both of Sheridan; sister, Martha and husband Dewayne Smith of Sheridan and 3 grandchildren, Chance, Karis and Katie Sullivant and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 8, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. jim Pool and Bro. Robert Ewing officiating. . Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Rodger Sullivant, Richard Sullivant, Cecil Sullivant, Chance Sullivant, Sam Smith, Clayton Smith, Joe Criglow and Bobby Westbrook.
Memorials may be made to Philadelphia Cemetery Association, 4820 Hwy 291 South, Sheridan, AR 72150.
