Obituary

Gary Lee Junkin of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 15, 1958 in Cleveland, Mississippi, the son of the late William and Joy Murrah Junkin. He was a member of Bethany #1 Missionary Baptist Church in the Lazy Bend Community, near Grapevine. To borrow the words from a song, "Loving God, Loving each other…Making music with my friends" describes Gary, his servant's heart, and his love for serving God, and Praising Him through music. He was a gifted guitarist, having played for over 40 years. Gary loved all of his family, and the huge smile that he always had, got even bigger, when he was with them (including his furbabies). He assured LeAnn, the rest of his family, and everyone he knew, that he was saved, Heaven was real, and he was looking forward to going there. He will be greatly missed, but we celebrate his life, his Home-Going, and look forward to that glad reunion day!

Gary died Monday, July 29, 2019 at his home at the age of 61.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Junkin.
