Gary Lee Schatz of East End, Arkansas, went to meet his Lord on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the age of 64.  He was born on October 14, 1953 in Sullivan, Missouri. Gary was a graduate of Sullivan High School, Linn Technical College, and the Missionary Baptist Institute and Seminary.

Saved at the young age of 5, Gary was a very strong Christian and faithful member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church. He served as an ordained minister, Sunday School teacher, and AWANA Chaplain for many years.

Before his retirement, Gary was President of AlarMaster, the family security business.

Gary was proceeded in death by his mother and stepfather; Marie and Bill Robertson and father; Leonard Lee Schatz. He is survived by his wife Rebecca; three sons; Scott(Carrie), Paul(Leslie) and Matt; 3 grandchildren: Haley, Brett and Xander; brother Lynn(Towanann); and numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, April 16 ^th , 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at East Union Baptist Church (20422 North Springlake, Hensley, AR 72065). A celebration of Gary's life will be Tuesday, April 17 ^th , 2018 at 3:00 p.m. also at East Union. Burial will immediately follow at Salem Cemetery.
