Obituary

Gary Lee Sizemore, known as "Papa" to his grandkids, of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 13, 1950 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma, the son of A.D. and Lola Gilbert Sizemore. He was a Baptist and was self-employed. Gary loved antique and classic cars. He would buy, sell, and restore them. He also enjoyed motorcycles, horses and spending time outdoors. He had a particular interest in raising and tending his cattle. From a very young age, Gary had a strong work ethic and spent much of his time working. He loved the Lord and believed in the power of Prayer.

Gary died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Hospice Homecare in Little Rock at the age of 60, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Mittie Sizemore, sister-in-law, Dianne Sizemore and numerous aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his wife, Dephane Sizemore; daughters, Teri Duncan and Mandy Trantham; 2 step children, Eric Gardner and Megan Gardner, all of Sheridan; parents, A.D. and Lola Sizemore of Little Rock; brother, Joe Sizemore of Sheridan; sister, Chicita (Mike) Pate of Bryant; grandchildren, Katie, Nola, and Sarah.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. George Yarberry, Bro. Bob Perry and Bro. E.S. Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery at East End. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday.
