Gary Dale Wise of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 31, 1952 at Anderson, Indiana, the son of the late Joseph Cornelius Wise and Callie Ann "Betty" Zachary Wise Howard. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sheridan, where he formerly worked in the sound booth, and had been employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone. Gary was an inspiration to so many people and had a "never give up" attitude.

Mr. Wise died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at his home in Sheridan, at the age of 60. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Julia Stalker, Don Wise and Bill Wise; step-father, W.D. Howard; and mother-in-law, Adrie Koon.

Survivors include his wife and best friend, Mary Koon Wise of Sheridan; Son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Ashley Hudgens Wise of East End; daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Chad Smith of Sheridan; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Regina Wise of Sheridan; father-in-law, Jimmy Koon; brother-in-law, Steven Koon of Sheridan; grandchildren, Colton, Carly, and Koen; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Visitation will also be Wednesday, from 9:00 A.M. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Sheridan, 1201 South Rock St., Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
