Obituary
Gene Porter Staggs of Little Rock, Arkansas was born December 27, 1940 in Pottsville, Arkansas the son of the late William Elul and Velma Porter Staggs. He was a member of Salina Heights Christian Church in Kansas and was a retired cabinet maker.
Mr. Staggs died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at UAMS at the age of 70.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delores (D.J.) Staggs, daughter, Juanita Fisher, Granddaughter, Kimberly Wiegert and a brother Kenneth Staggs.
Survivors: Children, Rita and husband Bryan Wiegert; Virgal and wife Angela Morrow;
Brother, Carrol and wife Betty Staggs of Little Rock;
Sister, Floy Jeanne and husband Alton Cash of Morrilton;
Grandchildren, Ricky and Michelle Wiegert, Jeremy Jackson, James Jackson, Jordan Morrow, and Alexis Morrow;
7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
