George Huston Riggan of Carthage, Arkansas was born June 16, 1927 at Ivy, Arkansas the son of the late Jesse Edward and Leila Pannell Riggan. He was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church at Carthage and a member of Cooney Hunting Club.

Mr. Riggan died Monday, August 17, 2009 at the V.A. Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 82.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Murl Riggan and Quinton Riggan and a sister Jeroline Johnson.

Survivors; Sister, Kathleen M. Crowder of Sheridan;
4 nephews , 2 nieces and numerous other great nieces, nephews and cousins

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 21, 2009 at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
