Gerald Lee Winston of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 19, 1944 in Pine Bluff, the son of the late William Orbie and Mary Lee Bird Winston. He was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville and “Had to” Hunting Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening which he loved giving away.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Winston; brother and sister-in-law, David and Yonnia Winstion; sisters, Hywanna Stuckey, Audrey Winston and a nephew, Robert Scott Lemons.

Survivors, wife, Norma Wells Winston of Sheridan; daughters, Catherine Worthen of Sheridan, Janet (Brian) Rickett of Searcy, Rachel (Jonathan) Hillman of Almyra; step-sons, Nathan (Tabitha) Petty of Fordyce, Eric (Niki) Petty of Sheridan; brother–in-law, Wallace Stuckey of Pine Bluff; sister and brother-in-law, Suellen and Odis Waters of Sheridan; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday September 23, 2026 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Rickett officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation is prior to the service from 2:00 until service time.
