Obituary

Ginger Kierum of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 14, 1944 in Cibilo, Texas, the daughter of the late Elton Jacob Kierum, Sr. and Edna and Edna Ella Brotze Kierum. She was a very kind hearted person who enjoyed kids, nature, hunting, fishing, eating Reuben sandwiches and smiling.

Ginger passed away on June 7, 2024 at UAMS in Little Rock at the age of 79.

Survivors are her wife, Kim Wright of Sheridan. She and Kim were the first same sex marriage in the city; siblings, Elton Jacob Kierum, Jr. (Elaine Schulze) and their two children, Cynthia Dawn (Chuck Hood) and Brenda Kay (John Terry); Joyce Elizabeth Schaefer (Alexander) and their two children, Christine Renee (Jeffrey), Tammy Lyn (Eric);nephew, Hunter Sledge; great nieces, Natalie Elaine, Amy Arradonjo, Desirea Sodrok; great nephews,  Emerson Sledge, Cody Reece, JD Terry, Daulton Sodrok; great great nieces, Audrey and Allie Arredondo; great great nephews, Jace Benjamin Weiss; cousins Ann Adell Stratemann (Willie), Velva Jean Fischer; handpicked sons, Blake Barnes and his children, Paisley and Asher; Colton Dugan; handpicked daughter, Naomi (Jesse) Hobson and their children, Tauranie and Malyk; cousins, Leroy and Hannelore Brotze, Katherine Grunwald Brotze; grandkids, Triston King, Haleigh Mower, Lexi Walker, Lee Mower, Hunter Rivera, Timithi Rivera, and a host of friends and extended family members.

A family service will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grant County Museum or ANIMAL Rescue, 1223 Grant 83, Sheridan, AR  72150.
