Glenda Peggy Davis Lisenbey of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 8, 1946 in Pine Bluff, the daughter of the late Jesse and Edna Ford Davis. She was a member of Junet Pentecostal Church of Sheridan, had been on the South Sheridan Water Board and had retired from Arkansas Revenue Department. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She never missed a ball game, pageant, or any event they were a part of. She also loved to go to Gospel Singings.

Ms. Lisenbey died at her home on Monday, October 24, 2022 at the age of 76.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Lisenbey, Sr. and a brother N.E. Williams.

Survivors: sons, James A. Lisenbey, Jr (Jessica) of East End, Jeff Lisenbey of Sheridan; daughter, Melissa Word (Les) of El Dorado; brother Jessie Franklin Davis (Janice) of Hardin; sisters, Bonnie Nedham of Nashville, Virginia Michael of Jefferson; grandchildren, Lauren (Steve) Brooks, Rebecca (Josh) Wallace, Jamie Lisenbey, Olivia (Bailey) McIver, Reese (Breanna) Lisenbey and Christian Word; great  grandchildren, Drake Espinoza, Demi Carey, Blair Brooks, Hayden Wallace, Elyssa Wallace, Cohen McIver and Camilla McIver and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to express a sincere thanks to Roxanne Hedden and Wrennita Wingard for all the love, care and compassion that was shown to her during her illness.

Funeral service will be Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Taylor and Bro. Stacy Lisenbey officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation is Wednesday night at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Pallbearers are Steve Brooks, Josh Wallace, Bailey McIver, Perry Holdner, Michael Michael, Reese Lisenbey, Christian Word and Drake Espinoza.
