Grace Laverne Bickerstaff Herndon of Hot Springs, Arkansas was born February 2, 1933 in Blackfish, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Theodore A. and Thelma Lucille Norman Bickerstaff. She was a member of Rector Heights Baptist Church in Hot Springs and was a retired cafeteria worker for the Sheridan School District. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.

Ms. Herndon died Friday, January 26, 2017 at her home at the age of 84.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Paul Bickerstaff.

Survivors: son, Ronnie D. Patterson of Hot Springs; daughter, Debra G. Westerman of Malvern; brothers, Charles Bickerstaff of Hensley and Willie Bickerstaff of Heber Springs; 5 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 until service time. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, Arkansas.
