Grover A. Davenport of Sheridan, Arkansas died December 24, 2007 at the age of 101. He was born in Belfast, Arkansas on December 13, 1906 to the late William A. and Sarah F. Barnes Davenport. He was a lifelong resident of Grant County and a member and Deacon of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Davenport is survived by one daughter, Brenda Gray (Thomas) of Jonesboro, Arkansas;
Four sons, Cledis Davenport (Maxine) of Benton; Donald Davenport (Carolyn) of Little Rock; Rommie Davenport (Martha) of Judsonia and Jerry Davenport (Janet) of Malvern.

7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2007 from 11:30 to 1:30 PM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.
Graveside services will be Friday, December 28, at 2:00 PM at Lost Creek Cemetery with Rev. Larry Ballard officiating.
