Guy Harold Evans of Austin, Arkansas was born August 12, 1940 in Old Austin, Arkansas, the son of the late Rubert and Maggie Dilly Walpole Evans. He was a member of Old Austin Baptist Church and had served in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a kind and generous man who did his best to spread the gospel to everyone he saw at the nursing home even in his condition. He wanted everyone to go to heaven with him.

Mr. Evans died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Beebe Retirement Center at the age of 72.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Evans and a sister, Dorothy Fay Evans.

Survivors: Wife, Rebecca "Becky" Kaye Evans of Round Rock, Texas;
Son, Guy "Mika" Evans and wife Terra of Austin, AR;
Daughters, Jeannie McIntire of Pine Bluff; Stormy Kitchens and husband Larry of Star City; 10 grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Al Michael and Bro. Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Jefferson County. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday.
