Gwendolyn Marie Gilbert of Hensley, Arkansas was born September 28, 1957 in Eureka, California, the daughter of George Gilbert and the late Margie Johnson Gilbert. She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church in Sheridan and had retired for ITW Shippers. She was a graduate of Sheridan High School, Class of 1975. She enjoyed camping, fishing, archery, and skiing.

Gwen died Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Baptist Hospital at the age of 65.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Gilbert Cotton and aunt, Sharron Bryant

Survivors: father, George Gilbert of Prattsville; nephews, Brandyn Gilbert of Malvern, DJ Monk of Prattsville; special friend, Leon Bryant of Hensley; uncle, Homer Bryant; cousins, Cindy Moody, Kevin and Julie Bryant; and a host of extended family members, friends and former classmates.

Pallbearers are Kevin Bryant, Paden Bryant, Kody Bryant, Brandyn Gilbert, DJ Monk, Dylan Moody, Justin Moody, Anthony Dugan, and Anthony Edwards.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Cypert officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville.
