Harlin Hamilton Fletcher of Hensley, Arkansas was born January 10, 1946 in Sheridan, Arkansas, the son of the late Homer and Olga "Jude" Fletcher. He went to his eternal home with his Heavenly Father on July 8, 2021 at UAMS.

Harlin started his career in excavation and dirt work at the age of 17. He was foreman for James A. Rogers Excavating before starting his own business of Harlin Fletcher Backhoe Service for 38 years before retirement.

He never met a stranger and could tell you a story about every job he ever did. Anyone he ever worked for was a friend for life.

He was preceded in in death by his parents, an infant son, daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Tim Herbert; brother, Sonny Fletcher; sisters, Martha Mayfield, Marie McClelland, and Ruby Alldredge.

He is survived by the love of his life, and wife of 58 years, Diane Smith Fletcher of Hensley; daughter, Eda (Kenny) Ross of East End; sisters, Louise Sites, Judy Riggan, Helen Anderton; granddaughters, Ashley (Daniel) Henry, Courtney (Leigh) Lawson, Kaitlyn (Bryan) Kilgo, Lauryn Ross, Megan (Hunter) Hale, Hunter (Michael) Millsapp grandson, J.D. (Michelle) Ross. great grandchildren, Haleigh and Holten Lawson, Kayden McBride, Matthew Case, Colton Henry, Peilani Phillips, River and Bexley Kilgo, Jacob Herbert, Millsapps and Nolan Millsapps, Adalynn and Fletcher Hale and Toby Ross due in September.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at East Union Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in East End. There will be no visitation.
