Obituary

Harold D. Brown of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 12, 1944 in Carthage, Arkansas, the son of the late Loyd Leonard and Maggie Tubberville Brown. He attended the Full Gospel Campground Church in Sheridan and was a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching John Wayne movies. The joy of his life was spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Brown died Monday, June 9, 2014 at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant at the age of 69.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard Brown, Loyd Edward Brown, and a sister, Jeanette Heird.
Survivors: wife, Letha Mae Manning Bates Brown of Sheridan; sons, Michael Bates and wife Holly of Higginson, Don Bates of Amity; brother, Roy Brown and wife Faye of Morrilton; sisters, Louellen McLemore and husband Coy of Sheridan, Sue McLemore and husband David of Redding, California, and Rosette Cleghorn of Bryant; 3 grandchildren, Rachel Willis of Texas, Caleb and Dylan Bates of Higginson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Bert Montgomery officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery.
