Hazel Leoleau Smith Bell of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 17, 1914 in Madisonville, Louisiana the daughter of the late James Benjamin and Rosalena Littlejohn Smith. She was a member of North Main Baptist Church in Sheridan and was a beloved mother and grandmother. She was an avid gardener having a passion for flowers, especially daylillies.
Mrs. Bell died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab Center at the age of 93.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Otto Bell, a daughter Hazel Marie Bell and a brother Herman Smith.
Survivors: Sons, Donald Bell (Kathryn) of Sheridan; Kermit Bell, Jr. of Sheridan; John Bell (Jackie) of Little Rock; Robert Bell (JoAnn) of Fulton, Maryland and Earl Bell (Carol) of Wilson, North Carolina;
Daughters, Anita Stine (Bill) of Ocala, Florida; Wanda Adams (Charles) of Collierville, Tennessee; Dr. Sherlyn Larrison (Jim) of Pierre Part, Louisiana; Helen Johnson (Bob) of Jonesboro; and Patty Pierini (Phillip) of Lake Village; Sister, Helen Chaney of Bastrop, Louisiana.
22 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren;
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Rev. Clyde Jones and Rev. Charles Adams officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 PM Saturday at Snyder Cemetery in Snyder, Arkansas. Visitation 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
