Obituary

Hazel "Dude" Taylor O'Steen of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 7, 1925 in Conway County, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Andrew and Annie Bell Goodnight Taylor. She was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, fishing, hunting, camping, and hummingbirds. "Dude" loved people and never met a stranger.

Mrs. O'Steen died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at her home at the age of 83.

Survivors: Husband of 62 years, Thomas O'Steen of Sheridan;
Sons, Eddie and wife Charlotte O'Steen of Sheridan;
Garry and wife Vicki O'Steen of Sheridan;
Brother, Doyle Taylor of Adona; Sisters, Gussie Hewitt of Murphreesboro and Barbara Hopkinson of Phoenix, Arizona;
5 Grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Gale Umholtz officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday.
Pallbearers will be James Abernathy, Gene Brown, Donald Tubbs, D.L. Taylor, Daniel Taylor and Paul Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
