Hazel Gean Reaves of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 24, 1938 in Sheridan, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Herbert Anderson Gean and Dora Lee McCool Gean. She was a member of First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan, and a 1956 Sheridan High School graduate.
She had retired from Sheridan School District and was well known for selling tickets at football and basketball games. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Ms. Reaves died Friday, February 9, 2018 at Crown Point Assisted Living in Sheridan at the age of 79.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Leta Mae Gean.
Survivors: daughter, Kim and husband Ted Cameron of Hensley; twin brother, Bud and wife Carolyn Gean of Greenbrier; sisters, Betty May of Norphlet, Dianne Bogard of Sheridan; granddaughter, Amber and husband Stephen Funderburg of Grapevine; great grandsons, Trey and Tyler Funderburg; nephews, Roger and wife Christie Rasico, Duck and B.J. Davis; nieces, Masha Turner, Karrie and husband, Allen Cates; and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 12, 2018 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. DeHaan Thornton officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Landmark Baptist Church, Youth Fund, 402 West Center, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
