Helen Beatrice Lawrence Brewer of Sheridan was born November 20, 1928 in Little Rock, the daughter of the late George M. Lawrence, Sr. And Flora Mae Lang Lawrence.

She was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. She loved to work in her yard., whether it be raking or cutting grass.

Mrs. Brewer died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at the age of 82.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thalon Brewer, a daughter Rita Bennett and a granddaughter, Misty Moore.

Survivors: Daughters, Martha and husband Eddie Vanlandingham;
Diane and husband Charles Phillips all of Sheridan;
Son-in-law, Gordon Bennett of Redfield;
Grandchildren, Angela Beckwith, Brian Phillips, Cindy Jordan, Karen McKim and
Mandy Moore.
Great grandchildren, Jonathan Jordan, David Jordan, Caitlin Beckwith, Nathan Freeman, Sydney McKim, Allison Cotton, Courtney Cotton and Zachery Cotton.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 21, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation will be from 1:30 until service time.

Pallbearers are Brian Phillips, Johnny Beckwith, Todd Jordan, Doug McKim, Jonathan Jordan and David Jordan.
