Mary Helen Halbert Stephens of Prattsville, Arkansas was born March 22, 1915 in Prattsville, the daughter of the late Herbert and Fern Harvey Halbert. She was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville.

Mrs. Stephens passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant at the age of 97. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Stephens and a great grandson, Michael Hebert.

Grandchildren, Laurel and Patrick Hebert of Shreveport, LA;
Leslie and Bo Kervin of Prattsville;
Lee and David Bailey of Prattsville; Step-grandchildren, Bryan and Natalie Simpson of Batesville, Jason and Rachel Smith of San Francisco, CA;
Great grandchildren, John Hebert, David Lee Bailey, Dylan Hebert, Paige Kervin, Cruz Hebert, and Madison Bailey; Step great grandchildren, Sophia, Asher, Brylie, Kace, and Addie Jo Simpson; great great grandchildren, Justice, Tyler and Logan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville with Bro. Neal Pumphrey and Bro. Shawn Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Humphries, Gene Sligh, David Paxton, Randy Mooney, Jerry Hope, Phillip Holiman, Poodle Benning and Dan Halbert. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Benning, Orville Ashley, Billy Joe Crutchfield, Marion Crutchfield, Alvin Hardin and Paul Walker.
