Helen Beauguard Harper Walker of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 18, 1921 in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Johnny Jackson Harper and Sarah Emily Baker Harper. She was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, had worked in the Prattsville school cafeteria and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, raking leaves, splitting wood and taking care of people.
Mrs. Walker died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buren T. Walker, Sr.; son, Edward Lee Walker;
brothers, Claude Harper, Lester Harper, Pete Harper, J. M. Harper, Johnny Harper and Jessie Cleo Harper; sisters, Mattie Harper, Frances Corley, Roberta Yancey, Lena Duncan, and Topsy Reed; granddaughter, Jessica Taylor; great granddaughter, Autumn Walker.
Survivors: Sons, Buren T. Walker of Sheridan;
C.S. Walker of Sheridan;
Daughter, Sandy Weese of North Little Rock;
Daughter-in-law, Barbara Walker of Prattsville;
Sister, Tresia McCool of Oregon;
Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 7, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Rev. Jim Bradshaw and Rev. Barbara Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday. Pallbearers: Lance Walker, Harold Holiman, Joel Walker, Donald Weese, III, Gregory Weese, Paul Crutchfield, and Adam Dean. Honorary Pallbearers: Seth and Caleb Weese, and David Paxton.
