Rev. Henry Clarence Burnett, Jr. Of Sikeston, Missouri formerly of Prattsville, Arkansas was born April 23, 1936 in Mt. Pine, Arkansas the son of the late Henry Clarence Burnett, Sr. And Idalia Harris Burnett. He was a retired Assembly of God minister having pastored churches in Arkansas and Mississippi. He had also served in the United States Navy in the Korean War and for many years had been a referee for basketball, baseball and football games.
Rev. Burnett died on Monday, February 25, 2013 in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 76.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi Ruth Cox Burnett and an infant daughter, Virginia Pauline Burnett.
Survivors: Wife, Millie Worthington Burnett of Sikeston, Missouri; Sons, Clay Burnett and wife Tammy of Prattsville; Louis Burnett and wife Maribel of Gonzales, Louisiana; Step sons, Frank Worthington and wife Alisa of Sikeston, Missouri and David Worthington and wife Sonya of Sikeston, Missouri; Daughters, Ruth Estes and husband, Tim of Malvern; Leona Gayle Burnett of Gonzales, Louisiana; Brother, Harris Burnett and wife Sandy of Irvine, California; Sister, Iris Snell and husband Maynard of Mt. View; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Burnett, Rev. Paul Grisgby, and Frank Worthington officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Matthew Burnett, Michael Burnett, Tim Estes, Frank Worthington, Kyle Boell and Don Clevenger. Honorary pallbearers are Bob McCurley, Jimwell Delreys, Caleb Burnett and David Worthington.
