Obituary

Hezekiah Litzsey was born in Grapevine, Arkansas to Vashti Patillo and Lee Litzsey on December 26, 1952.

Hezekiah attended elementary school and elementary school education in the public schools of Grapevine, Arkansas. Hezekiah did not complete High School and later obtained his GED.

Hezekiah enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1971-1973, where he was wounded and received an Honorable Discharge as a Sgt. Of the Disabled American Veteran.

On July 6, 1973, In New Jersey, Hezekiah married Jennifer Smith, and from this marriage three children were born. Pamela, Tamiko and Hezekiah "Jerome" Litzsey. Hezekiah and Jennifer later divorced, and he married Catherine Litzsey, and of this marriage there were no children. In November 2021 Hezekiah married Jocelyn Pritchett, and of this marriage there were no children. Hezekiah also known as "Sook the Crook," or Uncle "Sook," given this nick name by his nephew Riley, was proud of the Litzsey name and had his own way of expressing and showing his love to all those who express and gave love to him.

In the late summer of 2023 daddy experienced a severe car accident, which created a downward turmoil of medical complications, where Home Health Care was necessary, and for those that new daddy and his stubborn soul, he refused the assistance and care of family, friends and medical professionals. Daddy shut the world out and made his daughter Pam his only lifeline during his final days.

He departed this world in November 23, 2023, at his home. He leaves behind to mourn 2 daughters and two sons, eight grandchildren, three brothers Aaron (Linda), George (Jill) and Lee Ray (Ethel) Litzsey, three brothers that predeceased him Earl "Jack," Lafayette "Bill," and Glen. Hezekiah had his favorites, but he also had a host of nephews, great nephews, great-great nephews, nieces, great nieces and great-great nieces.

A Memorial Service will be Friday, December 15, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
