Howard Dean Walters of Malvern, Arkansas was born October 26, 1942 in Sheridan, the son of the late Odis and Lucille Robinson Walters. He was a member of Francois Missionary Baptist Church. He had been in the US Army having served in Vietnam and had retired for International Paper Company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and loved to play and listen to music.

Mr. Walters died at Arkansas Extended Care Hospital in Hot Springs on November 23, 2022 at the age of 80.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lorene Pierce.

Survivors: wife, Lois Marie Cooper Walters of Malvern; son, Anthony (Tamara) Walters of Mountainburg, Jerry (Barbara) Wingo of Malvern; daughter, Brenda (Gary) Helms of Malvern; sister, Florene(Hayes)  Swayze of Malvern; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends.

Funeral service will be Monday, November 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. WA Dillard officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 PM until service time. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery near Sheridan.

Pallbearers are CLoise Hamm, Eric Schmitt, Randy Smart, Keith Walters, Gary Helms and Michael Wingfield.
