Irma Hammond Bowers of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 15, 1923 in Winthrop, Arkansas the daughter of the late Robert Lawrence and Julia Bush Hammond. She was member of First Baptist Church at Sheridan, was a retired elementary reading teacher, and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

Mrs. Bowers died Monday, April 24, 2006 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton at the age of 83.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Bowers.

Great grandchildren, Alicia and Michaela Partridge; Savannah Vandermeid; Hunter Wehunt

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 2:30 PM At Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, Arkansas
with Rev. Sam Atkins, Rev. Mark Lindsey and Rev. Lawrence Hammond officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation: 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Shepherd, Robert Shepherd, Bobby Pinson, Roy Wayne Fleming, Brian Hammond and Danny Hammond. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund,1201 South Oak, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
