Irma Francis Stiles Orr, age 89, of Carthage, Arkansas passed away on December 7, 2008 in Little Rock with the family by her side following a fall at her home. She was born on November 29,1919 in Leola, Arkansas to Alvin and Melissie Jackson Stiles.

Irma was a long time member of the Leola Baptist Church and taught her children Christian principles. Her home was always opened to family and friends. Her favorite times were when her children and grandchildren came to spend time with her. After she was unable to leave her home, she enjoyed visiting with her neighbors by phone.

Cooking brought her great pleasure. She also enjoyed making quilts for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Orr, her parents, a son Jim B. Orr and a granddaughter Amy Orr, three sisters, Adeline Wylie, Evelyn Holloway and Alamae Finley and one brother Polley Stiles.

She is survived by her son, Paul Orr and his wife Barbara of Leola; Two daughters, Joy Mullens and her husband, Ed of Little Rock and Jo Helm of Little Rock; granddaughters, Shannon Keller and her husband Scott of Frisco, Texas, Sharon Previtte and her husband, Stan of Conway; grandson, Bryan Diemer and his wife Kelly of North Little Rock and three great grandchildren, Kaden and Kylee Keller and Ashland Previtte.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Leola Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. William Wallace and Bro. Ben Palmer officiating. Visitation: 6-8 PM Tuesday at Leola Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bryan Diemer, Stan Previtte, Scott Keller, Mike Whitener, George Stiles and Ben Smith.
