Obituary

Noah Iverson Smith, 92, of Sheridan, AR. went to be with the Lord Monday July 28, 2008 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab Center. He was born June 22, 1916 in Bunn (Dallas County), the son of the late Iverson and Laura Clement Smith and spent most of his adult life in Warren, where he was self employed as a building contractor. While living in Warren for 45 years, he was a member of Central Missionary Baptist church and was a Mason. After moving to Sheridan in 1996 he became a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Joe Smith, William Lee Smith, Marshall Smith and sisters Ella Kervin and Naomi Coker. Survivors include his wife of almost sixty-nine years, Dorothy McClain Smith whom he married September 9, 1939, three daughters Frances Gates and spouse Harold Gates, Sue Donaldson and spouse William A. Donaldson, Billie Ashcraft and spouse Robert Coice Ashcraft all of Sheridan, AR. 4 grandchildren Angela Gates, Jeff Kimbrell, Jennifer Cheff and Virginia Castrejon, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 4:30 p.m. Thursday July 31, Frazer's Chapel with visitation 3:30 p.m. Thursday until service time. Burial Union Cemetery Rye, AR. by Frazer's Funeral Home.
