Obituary

J. L. Harper of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 20, 1934 in Rison, the son of Mildred Luttrell and the late Lester Harper. He was a member of the Moore's Chapel United Methodist Church, a former U.S. Marine, and was a retired truck driver for Sheridan White Rock. J.L. was also an accomplished knifemaker and woodcarver and he never met a stranger.

Mr. Harper died Saturday, October 2, 2004 at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Jean Harper.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 4, 2004 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Terry Mann and Bro. Billy McGarity officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery.
Visitation: Sunday, 5-8 P.M. Pallbearers: Rick Warrick, Robert Marsh, Dale Davenport, David Reynolds, Terry Moore, Butch Campbell . Honorary pallbearers: Men of Moore's Chapel Church.
