James Robert "J.R." Lawrence, Jr. Of Hiram, Georgia , formerly of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 31, 1922 in Wave, Arkansas the son of the late James Robert Lawrence, Sr. And Myrna I. Shaw Lawrence . He was a member of First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan and had served in the Unites States Navy during World War II.

Mr. Lawrence died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in Georgia at the age of 89.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald K. Lawrence and a sister Frances Hern.

Daughter, Sherrie J. Carpenter and husband Larry of Riverview, Michigan;
Sons, James L. Lawrence and wife Fran of Dallas, Georgia;
Thomas W. Lawrence and wife Cindy of Kennsaw, Georgia;
Robert Lawrence of Hiram, Georgia;
Sisters, Myrna Ann Turner of Stamps and Margaret Parham of Hope;
10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
