Obituary

Jack Monroe Lockhart of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 24, 1931 in Sheridan, the son of the late Willis M. And Mary Hand Lockhart. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sheridan, had served in the United States Army and had worked for AP&L for 40 years as a lineman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, coaching baseball and golfing.

Mr. Lockhart died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home at the age of 82.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Survivors: Loving wife of 61 years, Reta Mae Price Lockhart of Sheridan;
Son, David Monroe Lockhart of Euless, Texas; daughters, Debbie Harris and husband Rodney of Tyronza; Tammy Lynn Singletary and husband Randy of Sheridan; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and a host of friends and extended family members.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Sheridan with Bro. John Embrey and her grandson, Bro. Jason Lockhart officiating. A time of visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
