James Lewis Atkins of Little Rock, Arkansas was born August 24, 1939 in Warren, Arkansas, the son of the late Carl Atkins and Clemmie Redden Atkins. He was owner of Landmark Building and Remodeling and enjoyed coon hunting, deer hunting and fishing.

Mr. Atkins died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at his home at the age of 78.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Ann Gardner; son, James Lewis Atkins, Jr.; brothers, Vernon Atkins, Billie Atkins and Donnie Atkins.

Survivors: wife, Jean Erwin Atkins; daughters, Julie Johnson, Susan Hillman, Barbara Brewster; step-daughter, Sandy Tidball (Bob); 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lary Tidball and Bro. Shannon Gattis officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in Banks, Arkansas. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
