Obituary

James Henry "Pete" Duncan of the Orion Community, near Redfield, was born January 15, 1930 at Redfield, the son of the late James Thomas Duncan and Molly Esther Blacklaw Duncan. He served in the United States Army National Guard, where he retired as a Range Officer. Pete was a hard worker, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. He loved to play music, particularly gospel and bluegrass, and was formerly in a band. He was also a Mason.

Mr. Duncan died Sunday, December 10, 2017 at White Hall Rehabilitation, at the age of 87. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Dewey Duncan and Elton Duncan.

Survivors include his wife, Concepcion Cuamag Duncan of Orion Community; sons, Michael Duncan (Chrystal) of Subiaco, Jamie Duncan (Emily) of Greenbrier; daughters, Molly Ply (Donald) of Hensley, Brenda Bramlet of Redfield, Sandra Garrett (Kerry) of Redfield; brother, Larry Duncan (JoAnn) of East End; uncle, Albert Blacklaw; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Orion Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Robert Cossey officiating. Burial will follow in Orion Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.
