James Lawrence Gage of Sheridan, Arkansas, was born July 12, 1927 at Des Arc, Arkansas, the son of the late Everette Amyel and Callie Ann Green Gage. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Sheridan, and enjoyed fishing, and raising rabbits and chickens.

Mr. Gage died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation at the age of 88. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Sonny, Brooks and Vernon.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Paul Griffith of Sheridan, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 10, 2015 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. John Trotter officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. in Johnson Chapel Cemetery near Des Arc. Visitation will also be Monday, from 9:00 A.M. until service time.
