Obituary

James Elmer Moltz of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 3, 1947 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the son of the late J.E. and Idelle Lee Moltz. He was a member of First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan and a retired UPS loss prevention investigator. In years past, James was very involved in his son's activities. He was a baseball coach for many years and an avid Sheridan High School Band supporter. He enjoyed watching Nascar and baseball, and listening to 60's music. His greatest accomplishment was spending time with his sons and grandchildren.

James died at his home on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the age of 72.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie Moltz and Tommy Moltz, father-in-law, Howard Gartman, sister-in-law, Marcia Gartman and a special niece, Renee Gartman.

Survivors: wife and best friend of 53 years, Joan Gartman Moltz of Sheridan; sons, Pat Moltz of Centennial, Colorado, Dr. Ryan Moltz of St. Paul Minnesota; brothers, Ronnie (Brenda) Moltz of Pine Bluff, Jay Moltz of Sheridan; sisters, Tracie (Richard) Ross of Frisco, Texas, Michelle Jones of Sheridan; grandchildren, Gabriel Moltz and Haley Fukunaga; mother-in-law, Patsy Gartman; brothers-in-law, Laronne (Teresa) Gartman, David Gartman, Steve (Sherry) Gartman, Kim (Susie) Gartman, all of Sheridan as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 15, 2020 at New Hope Cemetery with Jeff Lisenbey officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.

Pallbearers are Robert Lee Moltz, Kenny Ashcraft, Richie Ross, Phillip Roark, Eddie Lybrand and Ben Lawrence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe to the Summer Feeding Program for Grant County, P.O. Box 357, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
