James Bishop Orr of Carthage, Arkansas was born on November 15, 1937, the son of
Irma Frances Stiles Orr and the late James Willie Orr. He died at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock on September 6, 2005 at the age of 67 years. He was the owner of Carrier Services Company; a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and an honorary member of the Orr Hunting Club. Jim contracted polio at the age of 19. He lived life to the fullest. Even with paralysis, it never slowed him from going fishing and hunting, walking on his crutches through the woods or getting in his boat. He could often be found on his four-wheeler, going out to the woods where-ever he wished. He graduated from the Draughn School of Business and took pride in starting several businesses and was very successful in each of them. He was preceded in death by his father, and his daughter, Karen Amy Orr.
