Obituary

James Ray Price,74, of Sheridan, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord and Savior on January 11, 2022.

James was born on October 9, 1946 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Ray and Lena Lipscomb Price and was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Beatrice and Wesley Pennington, brothers-in-law Danny Rucker, Sr. and Larry Rucker; sister-in-law Jerry Evans.

James was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all.

He was a proud employee of Cotton Belt and Union Pacific Railroad for 38 years. He enjoyed collecting all train related memorabilia, a master puzzler solver, puzzles of any kind.

James is survived by his wife and best friend of 45 years Jessie Lee Price; son Chip (Jessica) Wooley of Sheridan; sister and brother in law, Brenda and Dwayne Horton of Sheridan; niece Megan Snyder and Todd;3 grandchildren Amanda (Andrew) Scully of Little Rock, Jordan (Carson) Wooley of White Hall, Hayle Wooley of Sheridan; 3 great granddaughters Rylie and Zoe Scully; Ella Ray Wooley; brother Paul Price; brother-in-law C harles (Pat) Rucker and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Cantwell officiating. Burial will follow at Hardin Cemetery in Hardin. Visitation is prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 until service time.

Pallbearers are Jordan Wooley, Andrew Scully, Todd Snyder, Danny Rucker, Dwayne Horton, Mackenzie Pruitt and honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Rucker, and Sidney Pruitt.
