James H. Pruitt of Grapevine, Arkansas was born July 21, 1939 at Dabney, Arkansas the son of the late Coy E. and Mamie J. Pruitt. He went to be with Jesus on July 30, 2012 at the age of 73.

James was a member of the Church of Christ in Sheridan, Arkansas and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He served a term in the USAF in Okinawa and retired from Reynolds Metals Company in Bauxite. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

In addition to his parents, Coy and Mamie Pruitt, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Polly Pruitt;
2 Sons, Hughie Pruitt and wife Teresa;
Randy Pruitt and wife Kristy;
1 Daughter, Renee Taylor and husband Jamie;
1 Sister, Nellie Ann Boudra and husband Ray;
6 Grandchildren, Kris Pruitt, Cody Pruitt, Brandi Pruitt, Ryan Taylor, Noah Pruitt and Riley Taylor as well as nieces, nephews and lots of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. August 2, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held following the service at Grapevine Cemetery.
