Jamie Mathis Pruitt of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 26, 1925 in Sheridan, Arkansas the daughter of the late John Newton and Ruth Emily McCool Mathis. She was a member of the Sheridan Church of Christ. During her working career, she worked at the Sheridan Waterworks office, and Grant County Bank. Her favorite activities were crocheting, working in her yard, camping, and cooking.

Mrs. Pruitt died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville at the age of 87.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Pruitt, sister, Helen Rutherford and step- son, James H. Pruitt.

Survivors, Son, Larry Adams and wife Carroll of Athens, Alabama;
Daughters, Linda Riggs of Vian, Oklahoma; Judy Darlene McDonald and husband Richard of Bradford; Anita Garner and husband Roy of Dover, and step-daughter, Nellie Boudra of Sheridan;
Brother, Glen Mathis of Sheridan;
8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 25, 2013 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be prior to the service from noon until service time.

Pallbearers are Roy Garner, Richard McDonald, Kevin Rutherford, Kyle Rutherford, Brad Garner and Taylor Dotson.
