Jane Rushing Simpson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 8, 1930 in Sheridan the daughter of the late Wilbur Earl and Delma Walker Rushing. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sheridan where she was a member of the United Methodist Women.

Mrs. Simpson was the secretary treasurer of the Grant County Museum Foundation and had been previously the Director of membership of the Dallas Museum of Art.

Mrs. Simpson died Friday, May 14, 2004 at her home at the age of 74.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Marilyn Earl Rushing.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert A. Simpson of Sheridan.

A Memorial Service will be Monday, May 17, 2004 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Sheridan with Rev. Bruce Bennet officiating. The family asks that no flowers be sent.
