Lela Jane Paxton Stubblefield of Mabelvale, Arkansas was born March 21,1937 in Prattsville the daughter of the late Rayburn Harvey and Gladys Leona Morton Paxton. She was a member of Olive Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a 1955 graduate of Prattsville High School and was part of the basketball program. She enjoyed ping pong, playing golf, and hanging out with her friends and family.

Mrs. Stubblefield was a Breast Cancer survivor. She encouraged others in many ways and was so faithful to write letters to them who also fought the same battle.

Mrs. Stubblefield died at her home on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the age of 84.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Paxton, sisters Ann Kryer and Francis Mantooth.

Survivors: husband and best friend of 64 years William Lyle "Bill" Stubblefield of Mabelvale; sons Randy Stubblefield of Mabelvale and Greg (Cindy) Stubblefield of East End; sisters Martha Oswalt of Tulsa OK, Marilyn (Henry) Whitmire of Sheridan; sisters-in-law Joyce Paxton of Sheridan, Mae Paxton of Conway, Jill Halbert of Benton, Kathleen Pumphrey of Sheridan; grandchildren Faith Ballard, Wesley Stubblefield, Madilyn Stubblefield, Lindsey Brisher, Kendall Gothard, Paige Gothard and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM.
