Born January 8, 1970 in West Helena, Jared Kimball Hughey died on November 10, 2023 at his home in Redfield with loved ones around. Jared lived his life to the fullest and his way. Always the life of the party, he could tell some stories. He spent his time away from the job he loved working at piddling around his yard, and with his close family and friends, and his grandchildren. Jared was always willing to help when it was in his capabilities. He loved the life he lived and those who chose to be a part of it.

Jared (PopPop) is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ann Lester, bonus mom Carol Anne Rosteck, best friend Casey Oliver and Maternal Grandparents Eddie Lee and Christine Ennis and other close relatives. He is survived by his children John Daniel Hughey, Melissa Anne (Lee) Graham, Allison Hughey McMahan. His best friends: Fred Bartlett, Katy Brightop, Christy Henderson, Tammie Hughey and his faithful companion Puppy Love. He leaves behind his grandchildren (who he spoiled rotten): Jacob, Abigail, Jennifer, Gabriella, Mariah, Laney, Gracie, and his great-grandchildren. His bonus parents Molly and Raymond Lancaster and siblings along with other extended family, close friends, and colleagues.

We, the family, want to thank both the Redfield Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and the Redfield Police Department and all those who came to his aid with in their efforts to try and revive Jared. Also, we request that remembrance be made in the form of contributions to Redfield Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department  and/or the Animal Shelter of Redfield.

A celebration of life will be planned later.
